Formerly "The Job Club" of Middlesex West Chamber of Commerce - this club has come on line and expanded with more speakers and more connections to include not only job seekers but entrepreneurs who want more - more confidence, clarity, clients and cash flow! My entrepreneurial clients wanted to see the experts we were bringing in pro-bono to support the job seekers - so Mobius created "Expert Connections" for entrepreneurs and job seekers. Carl Harvey - What is Stopping You? The Inside Game. To succeed we need to develop the one quality upon which all technique and skill depend: an expanded capacity to deal with risk, challenge and uncertainty. For it is this capacity that will determine the risks we will take, who we will call, the questions we will ask and most importantly, how long we will keep acting and risking in the face of disappointment, negatives and self-doubt. In this path-breaking talk, Carl Harvey, sales development expert and author of the book, "What's Stopping You?", will identify the nature of this core competence: what it is and how it relates to our performance and success. More importantly, he will outline some of the practices and perspectives to develop this competency so we can gain the self-assurance to call at the top, overcome call reluctance, ask the tough questions and find the confidence to act when we lack confidence. What stops most of us is the gap between knowing what to do and doing it. This talk will help close that gap.
